Ngatapa was established over sixty years ago and has grown from a small country sports club to over 700 members of all ages and all walks of life. Many of our members come out to us from town and others from as far afield as Tolaga, Matawai and Mahia. Our club has an unique and welcoming culture which has contributed to our success.
We hope to inspire success through sports by providing guidance and positive role models. We are fortunate to have people who choose to share their time and skills with the club. The commitment of those volunteers helps members grow in their sport, as well as promoting fair-play and respect for others.

Our Vision
To create a club with an inviting culture that will grow player numbers, coaches, managers, associate members and supporting volunteers making us the best sports club in Gisborne.We aim to cater for everyone, especially young people that may not normally have sporting opportunities available to them. To provide them with a place to belong and be a part of the Ngatapa club family.We will inspire success through sports and volunteering by providing guidance and positive role models, whilst continually growing our knowledge base to assist all our members to grow in their desired sports as well as promoting fair-play and respect for others.We will explore other sporting opportunities in our community and provide well maintained facilities that cater for all club needs.
